UNION Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win received Dr Md Monwar Hossain, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Myanmar, yesterday afternoon at the Ministry of Health’s reception hall.

Both sides discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation in the health sector.

They explored areas of collaboration between medical universities in both countries and measures for organizing seminars and exchange of experiences between experts from Myanmar’s Ministry of Health and from Bangladesh. Additionally, they reviewed ongoing efforts led by the Ministry of Health, in cooperation with international and domestic organizations, to control, prevent, and treat diseases. Both parties shared views on enhancing these initiatives and fostering closer ties in health-related matters.
