UNLAWFUL and subversive media are deliberately spreading false reports, falsely accusing Tatmadaw security forces of setting fire to and destroying houses in Gondanlay Village, Madaya Township, Mandalay Region.

In reality, terrorists had been threatening the villagers, extorting money from them, and planting mines on public roads. Upon information from a concerned citizen, security forces were in the process of defusing the mines when terrorists dropped bombs, which exploded near the houses, according to a security official.

Despite this, malicious media outlets continue to spread false news to mislead the public intentionally.

Authorities have urged citizens to discreetly inform the nearest security post if they are aware of terrorist activity in their area.
