The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reported that Myanmar showcased its cultural products and traditional food at the 13th International Cultural Industry Expo, held in Chongqing, China, on 20 September.
The expo was hosted by the Public Service Department of Chongqing Municipality and the Chongqing International Convention Organization. Consul-General U Kyaw Zeyar Lin of the Myanmar Consulate-General in Chongqing attended the opening ceremony.
With support from the Myanmar Women Entrepreneurs Network (MWEN), the Myanmar consulate-general displayed a range of handicrafts and traditional food products from Myanmar.
The expo aims to promote cultural exchange and expand trade between provinces in China and the international community. Participating regions included Chongqing Municipality, Hubei Province, and Guangdong Province, along with twenty countries such as Myanmar, Germany, Belarus, Pakistan, Japan, the Philippines, and Australia.
The opening ceremony was attended by officials from the Foreign Affairs Department, the Commerce Department, and the Culture and Tourism Department of Chongqing Municipality, as well as consuls-general and consuls based in Chongqing and Chengdu, along with guests.
