THE All-Myanmar Islamic Religious Organization donated food to 3,000 flood-stricken families in the Bago Region and Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, according to the organization’s Natural Disaster Relief Committee.
The committee began providing food to 3,000 flood-battered individuals in Toungoo Township in Bago Region, and Tatkon Township in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area on 19 September.
“We are donating rice and oil for a week to 3,000 households. That is the committee’s first donation, and we consult with locals to determine the items needed for specific areas. We will continue to assist,” said U Win Tun Soe, the focal point of the Natural Disaster Relief Committee.
To help the flood-hit individuals, the All-Myanmar Islamic Religious Organization has formed a Natural Disaster Relief Committee consisting of 45 members, including five patrons.
