National Disaster Management Committee Members Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn and Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing, accompanied by relevant officials and artistes comforted the flood-affected people in Tatkon Township, Nay Pyi Taw and provided them with relief supplies yesterday.
Union ministers and party first visited the relief camp opened at Maha Zanaka Monastery in Tatkon. They paid homage to Patron Sayadaw Bhaddanta Vannaraya and donated offerings. They then cordially met flood victims at Maha Zanaka Beikman, and Union ministers and artistes explained the donation and comforted them.
Union ministers, officials of M Entertainment Channel and Elevate Broadcast Myanmar Co Ltd provided flood victims with commodities, foodstuffs and medicines.
Moreover, singers Yone Lay, Jenny, comedians academy Ohn Thee, Dein Daung, other artistes and MRTV’s artistes entertained with MRTV band. The Union minister cordially greeted victims, asked about their difficulties and negotiated with officials.
The relief camp at the Maha Zanaka Monastery shelters 249 people of 81 households from Anawrahta ward, Bayintnaung ward and Myaukywaysu village.
Union ministers and party headed to the relief camp at Chanmyae Myaing Yeiktha. They paid homage to Patron Sayadaw Bhaddanta Sihanyana and donated offerings.
They cordially consoled flood-stricken people and explained the donation.

The relief camp at Chan Myae Myaing Monastery hosts 420 people of 127 households from Anawrahta ward, Asone Zigone, Shaukgone, Patpangone, Myauk Yway Su and Chaung Gwa villages.
The MRTV, M Entertainment Channel and Elevate Broadcast Myanmar Co Ltd donated K5,014,000 worth of commodities, foodstuffs and medicine supplies, and the Ministry of Immigration and Population donated commodities while artistes cash and foodstuffs.
At noon, Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn proceeded to MRTV and inspected the broadcasting programmes of MRTV using two 1,250 kVA generators until 15 September, access to water for the main building and staff housing pumping water from an 80,000-gallon water tank using 16 kVA generator and groundwater storage and distribution from a 60,000-gallon water tank. During the inspection, he gave instructions on how to use generators and maintain them systematically, how to be ready with spare parts, how to store water in the tanks, and how to make preparations for fire.
Afterwards, the Union minister and artistes went to the relief camps at the Thabyaytaung Tawya Monastery and Maha Leti San Monastery and cordially comforted the flood-affected people and explained the donation.
The Union minister, officials and artistes presented relief supplies to the flood-affected people. Then, artistes academy Ohn Thee and Dein Daung sang songs.
The Thabyaytaung Tawya Monastery accommodates 350 flood-stricken people, and Maha Leti San Monastery hosts 399 flood victims. The Ministry of Information donated K5 million worth of commodities, foodstuffs and medicines.
