MALICIOUS media outlets spread fake news, claiming that security forces torched Thithlataw and Phaw villages in Pulaw Township, Taninthayi Region.

According to a security official, PDF terrorists launched the attack first using heavy and small weapons when security forces arrived near Thithlataw village on 14 September. Terrorists retreated, and they attacked again from Phaw village on 16 September. Security forces blocked the ways and conducted security operations, and terrorists fled to the south-west direction.

Security forces did not set fire and arrest the villagers, but terrorists raided villages and detained villagers. Therefore, subversive media circulate misinformation.
