SOME 100 nationals stranded in China (Taipei) due to the suspension of international flight returned by flight arranged by Myanmar Consulate-General Office in Hong Kong yesterday.

The relief flight from the China Airlines carrying the Myanmar nationals landed at the Yangon International Airport yesterday morning.

Similarly, 113 stranded Myanmar nationals in the US and 14 in the Republic of Korea were also repatriated by a relief flight arranged by Myanmar embassies in Washington and Seoul.

The relief flight from the Myanmar Airways International carrying 127 Myanmar nationals landed at the Yangon International Airport at 8 pm yesterday.

At the Yangon International Airport, officials of Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population, Ministry of Health and Sports and Yangon Region Government have provided them with arrangements for 14-day quarantine at designated centres, seven−day home quarantine and medical check-ups in efforts to prevent the coronavirus infection.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working in line with the directives from the National-Level Central Committee for Prevention, Control and Treatment on COVID-19 to bring back Myanmar nationals stranded abroad due to the suspension of international flights.
