A total of 489 Myanmar migrant workers – 332 men and 157 women – came back home through the Thai-Myanmar Friendship Bridge No 2 in Myawady yesterday.
Kayin State Hluttaw Representative U Thant Zin Aung, Myawady District Administrator U Tay Zar Aung, Deputy District Administrator U Aung Chan Nyein, and officials helped the returnees with medical tests and other supplies.
A total of 75,359 returnees including 11,680 in May, 25,338 in June, 18,597 in July, 15,998 in August and 3,746 in September so far have come back home through the border since 1 May.
