UNION Election Commission Chairman U Ko Ko received Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Chen Hai and his delegation yesterday at the Union Election Commission office in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the meeting, the Chinese ambassador discussed the ongoing work progress of the Union Election Commission for the general election, proceedings in relation political parties, and the situation in which they can assist in the election.

The Union Election Commission chairman also clarified the current status of the Union Election Commission, the regulations for holding elections, preparations for voter lists, the registration of political parties, and cooperation in electoral activities.
