The Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation conducted a demonstration on fermentation of animal feedstuff and processing of straw with urea on 9 March at the Dairy Cattle Breeding Demonstration and Distribution Farm in Nay Pyi Taw in order to provide nutritious animal feedstuff in areas facing grazing difficulties and in the dry season where animal feedstuff is unavailable.

During the demonstration, officials from the Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department showcased the process of fermenting animal feedstuffs and producing fermented straw with urea.

The essential role of animal feedstuffs in promoting the health, body development, and disease resistance of farm animals was discussed, as well as the impact of animal feed on the quality of meat consumption.
