Tatmadaw members have to follow military disciplines and avoid acts harmful to individuals and the organization, said Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

In a meeting with Tatmadaw members and families from Pathein Station of South-West Command yesterday afternoon, Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing highlighted duties and disciplines for Tatmadaw members and families.

As Tatmadaw is primarily responsible for State defence duty, organizations and individual Tatmadaw members must be ready to serve the defence duty. They must undergo training to be healthy and fit and always be prepared to fight. They have to skillfully handle their arms and take training for health and fitness.

Tatmadaw members and families need to read for the accumulation of knowledge to benefit their lives and to give guidelines to their families and society. They have to encourage the education of families in line with Tatmadaw’s activities.
Tatmadaw members have to serve relevant assignments and orders dutifully. Leaders need to create suitable environments for Tatmadaw members and families with a fair administration.

Tatmadaw members and families have to live in unison and dutifully serve the duties assigned by the State and Tatmadaw.

He then asked about the needs of families. The Senior General presented foodstuffs for Tatmadaw members and families through the commander, and the wife of the Senior General gave a cash award to the station maternal and child welfare association through the commander’s wife.

Later, the Senior General and party cordially greeted Tatmadaw members and families.

Also present at the meeting were Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, wife of the Senior General, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Vice-Admiral Zwe Win Myint and wife, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung and wife, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their wives, Commander of the South-West Command Brig-Gen Wai Lin and officials.
