MEMBER of the State Administration Council Daw Dwe Bu and Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn met with responsible personnel of the Association of Kachin Artistes in the parlour of the Kachin State Government office on the morning of 10 January to discuss measures on describing Kachin culture, customs, and traditions with music and dance.

Officials from the relevant departments, Association of Kachin Artistes President J Z Daung Lwan, and members attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn mentioned that the film, music, and art industries have revived. Cinemas across the nation are now operating normally, and he wanted all those present to discuss the steps to develop Kachin culture, customs, and traditions through music and art.

He expressed his desire to encourage and support the music and art industry of Kachin national races through stateowned media.

Subsequently, Association of Kachin Artistes President J Z Daung Lwan and members discussed the necessary cooperation with the Ministry of Information. SAC Member Daw Dwe Bu and the Union Minister coordinated and fulfilled requirements related to the current activities of the Association of Kachin Artistes and the production of music, films, and videos.
