The Ministry of Information’s School Textbook Printing Sub-committee organized a meeting with private printers on tender rules and contract guidelines for printing school textbooks for 2021-2022 academic year at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairmen of the School Textbook Printing Sub-committee — Deputy Minister for Information U Aung Hla Tun and Deputy Minister for Education U Win Maw Tun — explained the purpose of meeting with private printers for 2021-2022 academic year school textbook publishing rules, calling for cooperation in printing quality school textbooks in time.

The sub-committee detailed the matters related to tender rules and contract guidelines for printing, binding, packaging and transporting school textbooks, and cooperation in inspecting the textbook printing works.

Officials from the sub-committee answered the private printers’ queries, followed by the sub-committee chairmen’s remarks.

The meeting was concluded after the sub-committee’s chairman Deputy Minister U Aung Hla Tun’s remarks.

Also present at the event were departmental officials including the sub-committee’s deputy chairman and Ministry of Information’s Permanent Secretary U Myo Myint Maung, the sub-committee’s secretaries Director-General of Basic Education Department U Ko Lay Win and Acting Director-General of Printing and Publishing Department U Ko Ko Naing, private printers, and those who are interested in the event.
