U Than Swe, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, received Mr J M Janaka Priyantha Bandara, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, at 10 am yesterday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the call, they cordially exchanged views on matters pertaining to the further enhancement of the friendly bilateral relations and mutually beneficial cooperation in the areas including education, health and IT sectors between the two countries, as well as closer collaboration in regional and multilateral contexts such as the BIMSTEC and the United Nations.
