VICE President U Henry Van Thio received a delegation from the Universal Peace Federation led by its Chairman Dr Thomas G Walsh at the Presidential Palace in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday evening.
During the meeting, they discussed the invitation extended to Myanmar to send a high level delegation to the Universal Peace Federation’s World Summit 2020 scheduled for February 2020 in Seoul, South Korea, and the UPF and the Union government to co-host the Third Asia-Pacific Summit in Myanmar in June 2020.
Present at the meeting were Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Thura U Aung Ko, Deputy Minister for Information U Aung Hla Tun, and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs U Soe Han and other officials.
