To strengthen friendship between Myanmar and Belarus, an entertainment troupe from Belarus, currently visiting Myanmar, toured PyinOoLwin yesterday, exploring several well-known locations in the town.
The troupe includes Belarusian composer and singer Mr Vladimir Sukolinsky, singers Ms Nadezhda Bryleva and Ms Anzhelika Zaitseva, and manager Mr Danila Kisiev. They were accompanied by Mr Alexander, Vice-Chair of the Myanmar-Russia Friendship Association, Mr Andrei Tretiakov from the Russian Embassy, and officials from MRTV.
In the morning, the group visited the Fossil Museum, Amber Museum, and Butterfly Museum at the National Kandawgyi Garden, where they observed preserved bamboo species, rare insects, and exhibits of Myanmar hardwood varieties with great interest.
They then visited souvenir shops in PyinOoLwin to purchase local handicrafts before proceeding to the BE Falls recreation area, where they enjoyed walking on the glass bridge and watched an elephant show. The troupe also explored the resort area by buggy.
During the tour, they met and took commemorative photos with local visitors enjoying the Thadingyut holidays in a festive atmosphere.
The Belarusian troupe arrived in Myanmar on 5 October. They performed in Mandalay City Hall on the evening of the same day and at the Convocation Hall of the Defence Services Technological Academy in PyinOoLwin on 6 October. They are scheduled to continue their performances in Nay Pyi Taw and Yangon.
