Chair man of the State Administration Council, Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is currently in the Republic of Belarus, met officer trainees in Belarus yesterday evening.

Speaking on the occasion, the Senior General said that the State has been sending students abroad for further studies, intending to nurture quality human resources essential for building the nation’s future. Each individual has to study relevant subjects to secure proficient and deep knowledge in their respective fields of study, and to continuously put in effort to keep up with the ever-evolving advancements in technology.

He continued that trainees are encouraged to value themselves and strive for the improvement of their own lives. By conducting themselves with discipline and diligence, they are expected to contribute to the honour and prestige of both Tatmadaw and the nation.

The Senior General emphasized that holding a re-election and convening the Hluttaw is the best political solution. A free and fair multiparty democratic general election will be held soon, and the government will ensure that all eligible voters can exercise their right to vote. Those who value democracy are expected to participate in the voting process. The government is currently undertaking preparatory tasks to ensure that the election will be free and fair. Officer trainees need to know the accurate progress of the State and political progress.

Also, present at the meeting were Council Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, SAC member General Nyo Saw, union ministers, the Myanmar Ambassador to Belarus, senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, deputy ministers, the Military Attache (Army, Navy and Air) and officials. After the meeting, the Senior General presented foodstuffs and cash to the office trainees and cordially greeted them.
