Rescue and rehabilitation efforts are actively underway in regions affected by the recent Mandalay earthquake, with support from Tatmadaw personnel, police, firefighters, international rescue teams, departmental staff, volunteer groups and residents.

Lt-Gen Thet Pon and Lt-Gen Myo Moe Aung, Lt-Gen Myo Thant Naing and Lt-Gen Soe Tint Naing from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) inspected the damage in Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, such as factories, housing, pagodas, and monasteries, while coordinating closely with engineers and authorities on structural assessments and restoration plans.

They also visited shelters for displaced people to review health measures and support activities, including child trauma care. Efforts continue to clear debris, assess dangerous buildings, and rebuild affected religious and residential structures.
