U Than Swe, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, received Ms Ma Jia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar, yesterday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw.
During the meeting, they cordially discussed the matters pertaining to the further consolidation of the existing Pauk-Phaw relations and implementation of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, China’s provision of humanitarian assistance, medical aid and rescue teams to Myanmar for the affected families and communities, continued support for the Myanmar Government’s effort in the disaster rehabilitation and resettlement programmes in the affected areas in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake, the maintenance of peace and stability, law enforcement and security cooperation along the Myanmar-China border area, China’s continuous constructive support towards Myanmar’s development endeavour as well as closer collaboration both in regional and international arena.
