THE government takes great care of its citizens who face difficulties abroad. The Myanmar Embassy and the Consulate-General of Myanmar, in coordination with relevant embassies, are arranging for the safe and timely return of citizens to Myanmar.

The Myanmar Embassy in Cairo worked with the Iraqi authorities and International Organization for Migration (IOM), to expedite the return of Ma Myat Wutyi, who was facing difficulties in Iraq.

On 16 March, Ma Myat Wutyi left Iraq for Yangon by Baghdad-Doha-Phnom Penh-Yangon flight and arrived in Yangon at 9:40 pm local time on 17 March.

The Myanmar Embassy and Consulate-General continue to assist citizens encountering difficulties in the Middle East, ensuring their safe return to Myanmar. The government, with the help of the embassy and consulate, is committed to bringing back Myanmar nationals who face problems abroad. The government, embassy and consulate are appreciated for their efforts.
