A total of 2.53 million stimulant tablets worth over K3.7 billion were seized in Waw Township, Bago Region, as reported by the Myanmar Police Force.

Acting on a tip-off, a combined team, including members of the Anti-Drug Police Force, conducted a search of a 22-wheel Dong Feng vehicle, which head to Hpa-an from Mandalay, driven by Wai Phyo Maung (aka) Ko Phyo, accompanied by Ma Malar Kyaw, at 5:30 am on 10 March near Nyaungkhashay village, Waw Township. Police seized 2.53 million stimulant tablets worth more than K3.7 billion, which were hidden inside radiator. According to the investigation, the seized tablets were transported from Mongyai, northern Shan State to Hpa-an by Yan Kyar Shau (aka) Kalar.

Legal proceedings have been initiated against the offenders, and an ongoing investigation is underway to apprehend others involved in the case.
