CHAIRMAN of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, currently in Minsk of the Republic of Belarus on his official State visit, met officer trainees learning in Minsk of the Republic of Belarus at the Hotel President yesterday evening.
It was also attended by Council Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, Council Member General Nyo Saw, Union-level dignitaries, Myanmar Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus U Thit Linn Ohn, senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, deputy ministers, the Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air), officials and officer trainees.
Speaking on the occasion, the Senior General said that generally, just as there are postgraduate students, there are also scholarship students who are sent due to various needs. By sending students to attend training programmes, the country can develop its human resources. Therefore, students are expected to complete their studies within the designated period and make a genuine effort to master the subjects being taught.
Individuals must spend time and money on their education, and the State and Tatmadaw also incur necessary expenses. Therefore, they have to contribute to the benefit of the State and Tatmadaw as well as serve their interests.
The Senior General urged them to strive to fulfil the needs of the State through the fruits of the knowledge and skills they have learned.
After the meeting, the Senior General presented foodstuffs and cash awards to officer trainees and cordially greeted them.
In the morning, the Senior General visited the Myanmar Consulate-General in Minsk and met the staff of the Consulate-General and families. He explained the need to improve diplomatic relations between Myanmar and Belarus, holding the forum during the goodwill visit, political progress in Myanmar, and efforts to be made to ensure friendly relations and bilateral trade between Myanmar and Belarus, and attended to the needs of those staff and families.
The Senior General presented foodstuffs and cash awards to staff and families of the Consulate-General.
