THE Ministry of Education has issued the following instructions as COVID-19 prevention measures for all matriculation examination centres in the whole country in coordination with the Ministry of Health Sports, and beginning from the date (11-3-2020) the exams commenced, all the centres have been observing the instructions.

1. Ask the students whether they have symptoms of fever or coughing or sneezing before the start of the exam.

2. If found any student suffering from fever or coughing or sneezing, he or she must be systematically worn a surgical mask or must be moved to a separate place to sit for the exam.

3. Every examination centre must arrange a separate room for students showing such symptoms, and the disease prevention measures must be taken seriously for the safety of teachers assigned in the room.

4. If any student with such symptoms is found, information about the matter must be immediately sent to the relevant health department to provide medical treatment for him or her.

5. Every examination centre must have an adequate amount of water, soap, hand gel and surgical masks and administer strict instructions and supervision for washing hands and wearing the masks.

6. Every desk must be at least three feet apart from one another in an examination room.

7. Supervise the students to systematically wash their hands with hand gel before entering the examination room.

8. Any teacher suffering from fever or coughing or sneezing should be released from duty and sent to the relevant health department for treatment immediately.

9. Every examination room must have proper ventilation.

COVID-19 prevention methods

1. Wash your hands systematically and frequently.

2. Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, put your used tissue systematically into the trash can, and wash your hands carefully.

3. Personal hygiene, nutritious food and sound sleep.
