The Pyithu and Amyotha Hluttaw donated a total of K 12,880,000 from their combined daily allowance towards the protection against Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The donation ceremony took place yesterday at the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw’s Hall-D where the two Deputy Hluttaw Speakers handed over the donation to the secretaries of the National-Level Central Committee on Prevention, Control and Treatment of Coronavirus Disease 2019.

Pyithu Hluttaw Deputy Speaker U Tun Aung (a) U Tun Tun Hein handed over K8,580,000 collected from per day allowance of 429 Pyithu Hluttaw representatives.Amyotha Hluttaw Deputy Speaker U Aye Tha Aung handed over K4,300,000 collected from per day allowance of 215 Amyotha Hluttaw representatives.

The Central Committee secretaries, Union Minister for International Cooperation U Kyaw Tin and Union Minister for Health and Sports Dr Myint Htwe, received the donations and handed back certificates of honor Dr Myint Htwe also spoke words of gratitude.
