Senior General Min Aung Hlaing noted that the role of medical services is crucial in providing physical and mental treatments to those wounded in serving security and defence duties of the State and those in unhealthy conditions.

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met commandants, senior officer instructors, senior officer lecturers, faculty members, trainees of master’s courses, cadets and trainees from Defence Services Medical Academy and Defence Services Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences at relevant convocation halls separately yesterday afternoon.

Speaking on the occasions, the Senior General pointed out that only when trainees correctly pursue literature and military arts in training will they serve their duties successfully after the training.

The Senior General instructed them to provide nursing patients kindly and patiently while serving as nurses to become outstanding nurses by applying sympathy and medical knowledge.

He stressed that instructors and faculty members have to train trainees with their experiences and knowledge from relevant subjects to produce good officers capable of medical education.

He continued that medical officers who graduated from DSMA are basically capable of giving healthcare services to patients, and they have to continue further medical studies to become outstanding personnel.

The Senior General instructed officer instructors, post-graduate trainee cadets, and medical trainees to study advancements in medical education constantly.

He spotlighted that officers at management and academic levels have to give training to trainees to be able to come out with outstanding medical officers with fine physical and mental health.

The Senior General underlined that the officer trainees in master’s courses must be capable of shouldering with trainees from other countries in medical education.

The Senior General fulfilled the needs of trainees.

The Senior General and party had lunch together with cadets from DSMA.

At these academies, the acting commandant of DSMA and the commandant of DSINPS reported on the training affairs of their academies.

Also present at the meetings were Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Vice-Admiral Zwe Win Myint, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung, union-level dignitaries, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, faculty members and trainees.

Yesterday morning, the Senior General warmly comforted Tatmadaw members who were receiving medical treatment for their injuries suffered while serving State defence and security duties at Defence Services Orthopaedic Hospital in Yangon. After asking about medical treatments and healing of injuries, the Senior General fulfilled the patients.

After viewing round the hospital, the Senior General attended to the needs of officials.

The commandant of the hospital reported to the Senior General about healthcare services for patients and work processes. The Senior General gave guidance on cleaning and beautifying the hospital and upgrading it.
