1. The Ministry of Health and Sports is performing surveillance on COVID-19, which is spreading globally, at entry/exit gates of international airports, in hospital settings, community-based monitoring, and in close collaboration with private hospitals.2. There were 45 new patients under surveillance between 28-3-2020 (6 p.m.) to 29-3-2020 (6 p.m.).
3. Results from the National Health Laboratory (Yangon) will be continue to be uploaded in real time.
4. Of the 8 patients who tested positive for COVID-19, the patient at Teddim General Hospital, Chin State, the three patients at Waibargi Specialist Hospital, the patient at Kandaw Nadi Hospital, Mandalay, and the patient at Nay Pyi Taw General Hospital have stable health. The two patients at Waibargi Specialist Hospital are receiving medical care in separate isolated special units.
5. With the appearance of lab-tested COVID-19 positive cases in Myanmar, the confirmed people and anyone who have been in close contact with them are being discovered, quarantined and placed under surveillance. The public is advised to closely follow health guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Sports.
