Empower youth with knowledge through library access

THE government is accelerating its efforts to develop school libraries and promote reading habits. It aims to enhance the functions of libraries, enable students to access books and publications, and apply the knowledge gained from reading in practical contexts.

Nowadays, everyone is pursuing knowledge and education to build a better life. Young people must accumulate knowledge with the aim of improving their own lives and contributing to the State. Therefore, the authorities emphasize promoting reading habits and organizing youth reading activities as a way to encourage young people to read.

Young people should engage in reading, take notes on the knowledge they gain, and discuss and share this knowledge with others. Since libraries can be regarded as knowledge banks, everyone should value and make use of them. Youth need to read a wide range of both fiction and non-fiction literature to broaden their knowledge and understanding.

Currently, relevant departments are actively promoting reading activities while establishing new libraries across the nation. Therefore, it is essential to develop libraries and enhance reading initiatives to cultivate well-informed and knowledgeable youth. Since nation-building efforts require the engagement of intellectuals, emphasis must be placed on improving school libraries, providing students with opportunities to pursue knowledge beyond the standard school curriculum.

A person who cannot read is like someone who is merely sitting; a person who can read but does not study literature is like someone who is merely standing; only a person who can read and actively studies literature is like someone walking along the path. As young students, they should read and study diligently, advancing toward the future with full knowledge and wisdom. The knowledge gained from reading should be applied for your own benefit, the benefit of the community, and the benefit of the nation.

Knowledge is something that cannot be exhausted or taken away. Even if students complete their formal education, they must continuously study books and literature to gain wisdom. A library is a place where one can easily access and read the books and materials they wish to study in a single location. To promote the spread of knowledge and general education among the people, the government has established libraries throughout the country and continues to provide books and literary materials. Moreover, generous donors and philanthropists contribute funds and books to ensure that people can easily access literature, to support the development of libraries, and to help knowledge and learning flourish.
