Oral hearings in the case between The Gambia and Myanmar are being held at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, the Netherlands, from 12 to 29 January, with The Gambia’s second round of submissions having begun at 10 am local time on 26 January.
In addition to the 14 judges who previously attended the hearing, Chinese Judge Mrs Xue also attended, bringing the total number of judges to 15.

The Gambia’s lead lawyer and legal team have accused Myanmar of having the intent to carry out ethnic cleansing against the Bengalis, and The Gambia’s second round of arguments continued from 10 am to 1 pm local time yesterday, according to reports.
