Young people are encouraged to apply their knowledge in meaningful ways and strive to become dependable citizens who contribute to the nation’s future.
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing stated that the State Administration Council has been striving to ensure peace and stability of the State with overall development while emphasizing the role of youths.
As now is the time to turn out human resources for the State, trainee youths have to expedite their efforts of studies applying experiences from the basic ideologies from the training, said Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing in his meeting with trainees, administrators and instructors from the basic and advanced maritime and aviation courses 1/2025 at Zeyathiri Beikman in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
He continued to say that the original objectives of opening the training course were not only successfully achieved, but during the training period, young people from various regions of the country had the opportunity to attend the course together, collaborate, and exchange knowledge and experiences. As a result, they developed strong friendship and valuable connections, which represent an invaluable opportunity. Through this network of friends, they will expand their social circles even further by connecting with their friends’ networks. This will ultimately lead to broader social relationships in their youth, he added.
The Senior General recounted that when significant damage and losses occurred due to the recent major earthquake in Mandalay, friendly nations that promptly arrived to assist in rescue and relief efforts, national leaders who sent messages of condolence, and organizations and countries that provided support in various sectors such as healthcare, food, and shelter for the earthquake-affected people — all of them must be recognized as true friends of our nation, he noted.
He highlighted that the countries possessing sea coasts understand the value of maritime and aerospace constantly research maritime and aerospace technologies to improve their defence power. Strengthening defence capability contributes to the development of the State, so everybody needs to know the value of the technologies they studied.
The Senior General underscored that youths need to read fiction, which can soften the souls of humans and non-fiction, which adds more knowledge to the people to constantly improve their lives.
He emphasized that saboteurs understand that only when they can undermine these harmonized situations will they implement their conspiracy to break up the State and control regional countries, showing Myanmar as an example. Hence, all Myanmar citizens need to raise awareness of their attempts.
The Senior General underlined that every citizen should be aware of the true historical events of their country and participate as leading youths in building a modern, progressive nation through a genuine, disciplined multiparty democratic system.
He stressed that those born and raised in this land have a duty and responsibility to remain loyal and grateful to the nation. Similarly, only by continuously acknowledging all the genuine acts of kindness received can one become a dignified human being who is recognized and respected by society.
The Senior General urged new generation youths have to strive to be loyal and respectful to their motherland, apply the knowledge they have learned, and become future citizens who the nation can rely upon.
The Senior General presented gifts to youth trainees who returned commemorative gifts to the Senior General. Two trainees from the maritime and aviation courses recounted their experiences from the courses. The youths joined the tea party hosted by the Senior General.
The Senior General cordially greeted the trainees, administrators and instructors.
The trainees viewed round arms and weapons produced by Myanmar Tatmadaw, uniforms, communication devices, small scales of vessels, naval equipment, small scales of aircraft and helicopters, uniforms of pilots, and flying a flight simulator displayed at Zeyathiri Beikman.
So far, a total of 8,466 trainees were trained in nine basic maritime and aviation courses and 1,644 trainees in the advanced courses, totalling 10,090 trainees.
Also, present at the meeting were Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, wife of the Senior General, SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and his wife Daw Than Than Nwe, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Kyaw Swa Lin and his wife, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Htein Win and his wife, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung and his wife, senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their wives, and Union-level dignitaries and their wives.
