The Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win attended the bilateral meeting with the Chinese delegation led by Minister of China’s National Health Commission Mr Lei Haicho on 3 December in China.

During the meeting, the two parties openly discussed the special emphasis the Heads of the two countries put on the traditional medicine sector, the donation of medicines, medical supplies and vaccines by China during the COVID-19 pandemic, cooperation of Myanmar CDC and China CDC, sending of Myanmar doctors, dentists, nurses and technicians to China for capacity building training aiming at promoting human resources in health sector, and active participation of health sector in coming 75th anniversary of the establishment of Myanmar-China diplomatic relationships.

In the evening, the Myanmar delegation joined the dinner event hosted by the Chinese Health Minister.
