The Government of Myanmar is managing a combined team of security forces, administrative bodies, and local authorities to raid illegal buildings in the Shwe Kokko and KK Park areas, where telecom fraud and online gambling activities are being conducted, and to systematically dismantle the confiscated materials and illegal structures used in these activities.

Yesterday, the combined team demolished six more illegal buildings: four six-storey buildings and two four-storey buildings used for telecom fraud and online gambling in the Myawady-Maethawtalay (KK Park) area. This brings the total to 555 buildings demolished out of 635 illegal structures in the KK Park area.

The demolition of illegal buildings in the KK Park area began on 14 December 2025, using machinery and explosive devices. As of today, five additional two-storey buildings have been destroyed, bringing the total number of completely demolished buildings to 91.

To prevent the future reuse of materials in online scams and gambling activities in the KK Park and Shwe Kokko areas, the seized items have been systematically incinerated.

The government considers the eradication of telecom fraud and online gambling a national responsibility. To ensure that such activities can no longer operate within Myanmar, it will continue these efforts in coordination not only with domestic forces but also with the governments of neighbouring countries.
