The election observation mission, led by Mr Sholban Kara-Ool, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, left Yangon for the Russian Federation by air yesterday morning.

They were seen off at Yangon International Airport by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Union Election Commission Member U Aung Saw Win, regional ministers, Mr Iskander Azizov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Myanmar, and officials from the Regional Election Subcommission.
